Lake George or Lake Katunguru is a lake in Uganda. It covers a total surface area of 250 square kilometres (97 sq mi) and is a part of the African Great Lakes system. The area surrounding the lake is populated by the Batooro, Basongora, Banyampaka and Banyankore peoples, among others
The Ruwenzori, also spelled Rwenzori and Rwenjura, are a range of mountains in eastern equatorial Africa, located on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The highest peak of the Ruwenzori reaches 5,109 metres (16,762 ft), and the ranges upper regions are permanently snow-capped and glaciated. Rivers fed by mountain streams form one of the sources of the Nile.
Murchison Falls National Park is a national park in Uganda. It is Uganda's largest national park. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile from east to west. and the adjacent Bugondo Forest Reserve have 76 species of mammals as well as Uganda's largest population of Nile crocodiles. There are 450 known bird species in the park, including the rare shoe-billed stork, dwarf kingfisher, Goliath heron, white-thighed hornbill and great blue turaco.
